Poetry in Motion

I want my life to be a piece of poetry.

Some times poetry is happy. Sometimes poetry is sad or angry.

Sometimes poetry is stupid and frivoulous and funny. Sometimes poetry is deep and poignant.

Sometimes poetry flows like a river off your tongue and through your soul. Sometimes poetry is choppy, out of rhythm, staccato, syncopated.

Sometimes poetry is about love and passion. Sometimes poetry is about hate. And passion.

Sometimes poetry is happy and sometimes it’s not.

But it is always beautiful.

I want my life to be a piece of poetry, and yet but a stanza in the soul of the world.

Thank you all for your comments. I find it interesting that some people seem to have interpreted this post as a piece of poetry itself – which to my mind it is not. I wrote it as a post *about* poetry rather than as a piece of poetry. But I’m glad you all identified with it in some way

Hi and thanks. I love to read and write poetry and I have found another great poet. I write to live. The only way I can express my feelings is through verse and I too try to live life as poetry in motion. Everything and every experience is aother poem. I am new here at wordpress an I love it. I am thrilled by all of the fabulous poets and great poems I am finding. I had started to believe that people did not like poetry any more. I sure am glad I pulled my head out of the sand. Thsi is great.

When I read this poem, I thought, your life is poetry; because life is all of what you are talking about. Life is poetic.
I also like that through this poem a group of poets have commented and created a community of poets.
